LepuPouch 100 compostable coffee bags are made from renewable biological resources such as plant-based PLA materials, reducing dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels and helping lower environmental impact. Under suitable composting conditions, these materials can break down into CO₂, water, and humus, supporting a more sustainable packaging cycle while providing a responsible alternative to traditional plastic coffee bags.
2. Plant-Based PLA Inner Layer & Performance Advantages
The inner layer uses creamy white PLA film derived from renewable resources such as corn starch, offering excellent eco-friendly performance and packaging functionality. PLA provides better biodegradability than petroleum-based plastics, while maintaining reliable printing performance, low shrinkage, and stable processing characteristics. It has a melting range of approximately 180–220°C, low cooling shrinkage to reduce deformation risks, and produces no irritating odors during processing.
3. Composting Conditions & Degradation Information
100 Compostable coffee bags require specific environments to achieve effective degradation. Under industrial composting conditions (58–60°C with controlled humidity and microorganisms), PLA materials can decompose into natural components within approximately 6 months. In home composting environments at 20–30°C, degradation may take 1–2 years and requires suitable conditions. It is important to note that "compostable" does not mean rapid degradation in oceans or ordinary soil, where breakdown may take much longer.
